When the Grocery Gadget portal was launched earlier this year, users were introduced to greater list management flexibility. With the portal, came cutting-edge features not previously offered with a shopping list application: Web-based master list management, and automatic sync across multiple iPhone, iPod Touch devices, and other portal accounts. Later, with the Grocery Gadget 1.7 version release, the portal became a list integration hub. With this release, users have the option to import shopping lists from other applications, such as Grocery IQ™, and also import recipe data from sources such as BigOven™.
As of this week, the Grocery Gadget portal is open to the public. Anyone who would like to build and manage free, multiple online grocery shopping lists can visit http://www.grocerygadgets.com to set up a free portal account. Key portal features include: master and multiple shopping list management, photo import, optional tax settings, and list importation from other application sources. For any iPhone or iPod Touch user who chooses to download Grocery Gadget or the free Grocery Gadget Lite counterpart, automatic sync between the application and the portal is an added feature.
With the opening of the Grocery Gadget portal, Flixoft expands their offering of shopping list applications and list management tools to a wider audience. Before the end of the year, users can expect Grocery Gadget Shopping list applications will become available for other smart phone models, including Palm Pre and Blackberry.
