Errands Etc introduces same-day grocery delivery service in London

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 20, 2009 – Errands Etc's aim is to be available when one has a sudden need to go to the shops for groceries. When time is short and one can't wait for the time slots offered by the big supermarkets.
Among the benefits of this new same day grocery delivery service are;
Saving time: In minutes one can place their grocery delivery order online or by phone and Errands Etc will have the groceries delivered from the store to their door.
Saving money: There are no mark-ups on the grocery items. If the store has sales, Errands Etc passes them on to the client. Errands Etc charges a grocery shopping and delivery fee based on the distance between the store and delivery postcode.
Prompt delivery: The raison d’être for Errands Etc is to save time and increase flexibility for busy individuals. There are no big vans that will go on dropping off other people's groceries before arriving at the shopper's door. The groceries are delivered straight from the store to the shopper's kitchen.
Freedom of choice: The Errands Etc same-day delivery service is not tied to any particular store. The shopper decides which store the errand runners go to that ensures that shoppers get the brands they are used to.
Guaranteed service: An errand runner’s job is to follow instructions. If a shopper is not happy that their instructions were followed, Errands Etc will strive to make things right even if that includes waiving the errand fee completely.
As for all other errand runs, Errands Etc no longer takes cash or cheques but will accept all major credit cards.
One downside to the same-day grocery delivery service is that the shopper has to know the descriptions and prices of the items they need. To that end Errands Etc is working on a solution which will enable shoppers to search real-time item descriptions and prices from their favourite stores.
Until that solution is implemented that pain remains but it's a small drop in the possible benefits of the service.
