Opening of III Forks Jacksonville to benefit Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 28, 2009 – III Forks, one of the nation’s prime steakhouses, with only five other locations around the country, has opened in Tapestry Park in Jacksonville’s Southside. And the award-winning restaurant is offering a perfect way to give this holiday season in more ways than one.

Net proceeds from holiday gift cards from III Forks Jacksonville sold from Tuesday, Dec. 1, through Thursday Dec. 3 will go to the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless. They are Northeast Florida’s only provider of comprehensive services for homeless men, women and children. The center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

While they serve nutritious meals and offer safe shelter, they also provide outstanding health care and high-quality children’s programs, job placement assistance and a life skills programs o equip men and women for employment and for success. The Sulzbacher Center represents something simple, but vitally important—hope.

III Forks is striving to help the Sulzbacher Center prepare for the holidays with donations from gift card purchases Dec. 1-3.

Open for dinner, III Forks specializes in prime cuts of meats. Much of III Forks success is centered on its specifications for beef. Restaurant officials say only six processors in the United States meet its standards for “prime” ranking by the USDA, which means that less than half a percent of all U.S. beef makes the III Forks grade.

Curtis Osmond is the general manager and proprietor who wants to provide “the perfect steak in the perfect dining room with the perfect wine” to every guest at III Forks Jacksonville. In the search for this perfection, III Forks has turned to the talents of executive chef Joe Everett.

III Forks features banquet and private rooms, patio dining, full bar, wine bar and lounge, take out is also available. The III Forks staff can customize the menu, wine selections, and table arrangements for special event needs.

III Forks is one of 87 full-service and 29 franchised restaurants throughout the U.S. and the United Arab Emirates owned by Consolidated Restaurant Operations Inc. out of Dallas. The other III Forks locations are in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas; and Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens.

III Forks Steakhouse is located in Tapestry Park at 9822 Tapestry Park Circle, off Southside Boulevard, just north of J. Turner Butler Boulevard. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday: 5 -10 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 5 pm – 11 p.m.
